See Privacy Policy
See lets you browse, organize, and protect photos, videos, and Live Photos stored on your device. We respect your privacy: See has no account system, does not upload your photos or videos, and does not send photo library content to our servers.
1. Content We Access
With your permission, See accesses photos, videos, and Live Photos in your photo library for playback, filtering, importing, and organization. You can change photo access at any time in Settings or allow access to selected items only.
2. How Content Is Stored
Regular browsing reads directly from your system photo library. Content imported into Photo Vault is stored on your device and protected using Apple’s file protection and AES-GCM encryption. See does not upload this content to the cloud or third-party servers.
3. Data We Collect
See does not collect account details, photo or video content, precise location, contacts, camera data, or microphone data. The current version contains no advertising, behavioral tracking, analytics SDKs, or third-party sign-in services.
The app stores only necessary preferences on your device, such as autoplay and playback speed. These preferences are not sent to us.
4. Deletion and Retention
You can delete vault albums or their encrypted copies in the app. These deletions cannot be undone, and the app has no trash. If you also delete the originals from your system photo library, Apple may keep them in Recently Deleted according to the Photos app’s rules.
Deleting See removes app data stored by See on your device. See does not automatically restore or otherwise manage originals in your system photo library.
5. Passwords and Data Recovery
Your vault password is used only to derive an encryption key on your device. See does not keep a server-side password recovery copy and cannot reset a forgotten password or recover locked vault content. Keep your password somewhere safe.
6. Third-Party Services and Network Use
The current version does not send photo library content to third-party services and includes no advertising, analytics, or tracking services. We will update this policy before making any material change to how privacy-related data is handled.
